Leveraging fluxgate sensor architecture instead of Hall effect, Yokogawa’s splitcore current sensors achieve industry-leading accuracy across both AC and DC currents, making them ideal for high-precision power measurement applications. The CT500SA and CT200SA are compact current sensors ideal for measurements in confined spaces, yet they combine high accuracy with a frequency range and noise immunity suitable for use in both power analyzer and waveform measurement instrument. With its voltage output, this sensor is compatible with power analyzers (WT series and PX8000) and waveform measurement instruments (ScopeCorders and DLM series).

This split core current sensor offers superior noise immunity, providing stable measurement of large currents over a wide bandwidth.

The CT500SA and CT200SA are designed for measurements in confined spaces and can be operated with one hand. The main unit of the current sensor, which connects to the measurement target, is compact—about the size of the palm of your hand. Furthermore, the locking mechanism is designed so that it can be unlocked with a single finger, even when performing measurements in tight spaces where both hands cannot fit.
In addition to development applications, the current sensor is designed to be secured during testing of finished products, taking into account the operation of the device being measured. Securing the sensor using the screw holes (M4) on the sensor body or cable ties prevents the measurement point from shifting. Using this securing feature improves measurement accuracy and reproducibility.

Pairing with the WT1800R
The 761961 Power Adapter for Current Sensor allows the optional power supply (/PD2) of the Precision Power Analyzer WT1800R to supply power to the Split core current sensor. Up to six Split core current sensor can be used with a single WT1800R. This eliminates the need for an external probe power supply, resulting in less and simple wiring, and integrating the instrument with the power supply suppresses noise and ensures reliable measurements even in harsh noise environments.
